Prince William visits vocational training college in Amman

(25 Jun 2018) As the visit of Britain’s Prince William to Jordan drew to a close on Monday, he paid a visit to Amman’s Al Quds College, part of the Luminus Technical University College (LTUC). The Prince, also known as the Duke of Cambridge, met with young Jordanians and Syrian refugees training in film and music production as part of the college’s partnership with the UK’s Middlesex University. During the visit he tried his hand at sound mixing and inspected television production equipment. He then visited the School of Hospitality and Tourism at the college, before unveiling a plaque to commemorate his visit. Later on Monday the prince flew from Amman to Israel for the first-ever official visit of a member of the British royal family to the tumultuous region London once ruled. After landing at Israel’s Ben-Gurion International Airport he travelled to Jerusalem, where he will stay at the elegant King David Hotel, site of the former administrative headquarters of the British mandate.
